« on: September 25, 2013, 01:09:54 pm »
Any difference between these two actuators, besides one being dirtier than the other?

I think they're the same, the angle the bottom photo is taken from throws off the perspective and makes it look a different shape.

Firko,

The top one is from my RT2MX and I was told the bottom one is a magnesium actuator from the 1975 YZ250/360's.  I didn't think the YZ-B actuators were magnesium, just the clutch and ignition covers.

The 250/360B ones had the word "Magnesium" cast on the inside.....they weigh a lot less too.

Your right there Mic.....heaviest clutch pull in the world.....the only time you use it is to take off.....absolutely useless to try and slip it if your in a higher gear and no feel to it at all.

Davey,

Where on the inside would "Magnesium" be printed?

Sorry Red, only just spotted this, I would have to look at one but it's on the flat part next to where the cable goes....that looks like a plain old ally one.
