Great concept, would be a lot of fun.  But it is a shame that all these new KTM's seem to be dressed in these dreadfully fussy graphics - looks like Salvador Dali's pyjamas.

These look dam interesting thats for sure Ill be booking a test ride.

This makes a lot more sense than the 4T Freeride, IMHO. Smaller, lighter motor that probably/should make as much torque while being able to rev out further.
Maybe the compression ratio will be low enough that the electric starter is reliable?

SexMax has drumbrakes and aircooling, remember fellas? And the vertical shock suggests that this might have a linkage?

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

The starter on my 300e is reliable even since i set the squish to 1.6 instead of the 2.2 that it came with.
I have a soft spot japanese mxers with aluminium tanks. Two stroke classic Dirt Track...

I love it. I've been half heartedly looking to purchase a new modern and the Freeride fills nearly all of my criteria. The only thing I hate are the Gen Y SexMax graphics but I'll live with them just to have a 2 stroke, electric start trail bike that's more tuned towards the weekend trailrider than a wannabe ISDE gold medal winner. The DT1 for the new millennia indeed. ;)

wow KTM have hit the nail on the head with this. I thought the 350 4 stroke was a pretty good thing, but the new two stroke is pushing all my buttons. Best things I'm seeing are that it has low weight, good quality suspension, no powervalve and an electric start
I'm thinking that new rear tyre would be just the thing for my Alpina too. I'm off to the local KTM shop to have a close look.
