Cmx and Cdt has had a few stutters of late.  Just saying we either need to get serious about running a high level exposure competiton or mix it up and get the fans in to see whatever they like and the riders whatever they want to do as a format to get things back on track across the country.

Maybe a time for some fresh thinking and get refocused on what is viable these days and what success means.  An event can not make a profit and still be massively successful if it ticks all the other boxes that it was set up to be successful in.

I'm just thinking we need to refocus on what successful events mean.... And how that is delivered in its correct context.

I still can't get buy the concept of the sideburns dirt track guys, low cost , low crowds but high fun,
high participation. It's all how you value it.

Anyway still my favourite bike clip http://vimeo.com/69300961

I'm also thinking Alistair your band needs to bring back the organ grind  ;)

Come to the Conondale Classic this year Aug 3rd/4th.... you'll see a format that everybody loves from Pro Class, pre 70 to pre 90 racing, to novelty races ( 4 man/women tag  team 1 lap dash, 80cc class etc) and this year we have a ride session for people that don't want to race...3 days, camping, disco Sat night (you can dress up in your favourite 70's/80's gear), food, fun, trade stalls, top riders from back in the day all at a great track in one of the most prettiest parts of Australia......and it's warm compared to the southern states...22 degrees in the day even though it's winter (does get a bit "fresh" at night). For those that have been, you know how great a weekend it is, for some people that come, it's the only vintage meet they do all year. See you there. There's definitely something in the water. 8)
QVMX.....Australia's #1 VMX club......leading the way.
