KX250 1976 - standard jetting specs?

main jet 142.5R
Air jet 0.5
Pilot jet 45
neddle jet P-O clip centre
jet neddle 6DH2-4
air screw 1 turn out
fuel level 38mm +/- 1mm

Thanks for that, helps a heap.
Looks like the jetting is OK. I have to look into the running. Over 1/4-1/3 throttle the thing dies like the slide needle has dropped into the needle jet! OK, now the fun starts - where's the needle hiding in the haystack of possibilities? Another project (but a good one!), sigh......

What sprocket ratio are you running
I'm finding 13 -48 =3.69 is a bit tall and leaning toward 13 - 50 = 3.85.

Sorry, but I haven't ridden it faster than the pilot jet will allow! Looking forward to be able to give you my opinion at some point!

OLD fart, do you actually use the air correction jet at 0.5. as i have heard some people run without it at all in 250's and over??

throw that standard 34mm crap carb away and get a proper Mikuni 36mm, your problems will be solved.
