Magoo Award was won by Col Metcher..

Crashers were Simon Broad, Craig Simpson, Peter Horwood to name a few, from what I saw Simon Broads was quite bad but he walked away with some facial injures, Craig a bandaged arm, Peter was fine and I'm guessing there were plenty of others...

Hard luck stories have to go to Scott Lawson and Peter Horwood, both bikes caught fire.  Peters Penton/CR125 was repairable and ridden the next day. I don't no about Scott's lovely CCM BSA but it didn't look good...

I got extremely sun burnt but had a bloody good weekend and I think every body else did to....

Sorry if I got any results wrong but I think it's pretty close....

Excellent work BradMan, you rode you arse off in nearly every possible class but the look of it and ended up with more hardware than Bunnings.

Well done to all, regardless of whether you placed or not. There's no stopping Brad even though he rode just about every class. The man must be fit. I think someone needs to corrupt him around the fire at next years event with a beer or 10 

And it's great to see Col Metcher get recognised for his hard work, time and passion. The sport needs more like him....

I agree Mick. To see Christian and Liam tearing up the track in their races with absolutely no dirty tactics was a sight to behold. Christian went 1. 2. 1 to get first place and Liam going 2. 1. 3 to take second. Well done lads.

That's the pre 78 250 class results Ted, not the open class which I think Slakewell was referring to 

Although I must admit having the word "open" (referring to the age group not the engine capacity) had a few of us, including Davey Crocket, confused for a while

If you look at the lap times the tail end guys in Pre 78 open class 263cc + were doing high 1.40's like 1.47's etc in any other class that would almost be at the pointy end and here we were dicing over last place.

That may be the case . As far as Liam Beverly is concerned. He has done the hard yards. He has ridden every Heaven meet for the last 4 years, ( over thirty meets ) never missed one.

It's a good thing to have some young guns out there and amongst it on old bikes. Especially when they DO all the club days as well. Without the younger lot racing VMX, who will carry the mantle when we drop off?
Personally, I really dig seeing an old MX bike being ridden flat knacker by someone with no fear! Even if they are in front of me
