Triumph motor
« on: August 29, 2013, 10:46:44 pm »
I picked up some VMX mags off a bloke this arvo and noticed he had a Triumph motor (not complete) on the bench in his shed.  It looks like it's been out in the weather for a while, I had no camera with me but got the engine number.  ( T140VEP83705 )  there are no barrels or head.
Can anyone identify it from the number and let me know if it might be worth buying.
    Zane
Everyday I find one more name to add to the list of people who piss me off.

Zane it's a T140 750 engine based on the 650 T120 Bonneville motor. It's not legal for pre 65 because of its 5 speed box and 1973 release date but there's one, maybe two local pre 65 Metisses fitted with them anyway. If you don't want it I'd be interested in it for my street bike project.
