Jeez I'd love to ride that hill on something with some decent grunt and a bit of wheelbase. Looks like a lot of fun.

I've tried to get to this event for probably 20 or years, my brother lives about 5 mins away and my nephew lives even closer, you stand at his kitchen window and watch them go up the hill...

I was not happy when he told me on Friday that this is suposedly the last time there going to run the event, if he'd have given me a bit of notice I'd have made the effort to come down for it

Hi all, I was the event announcer for the day, we had a record 228 entries, thats 684 times the course gets hammered. The weather was perfect, clear skies, no rain. An estimated
crowd of about 1500 people ---massive. The end of an era, 37 years straight. The king of the hill for the very last time was a young lad, Nick Bloye, he has been trying for a number of years and finaly cracked it. This event was one of only two competative hill climbs in Australia, its disappointing that it has to go. They are mining the hill so it wont be there for much longer.
                  Cheers Chippy

Spewin looks like it was a great event. After watching On any Sunday a few times ;) haven't we all, I'm keen to try a hill climb. Shame it was the last.
How's that! Geoff Spurway on the old Trumphet, boy he gets around  :)
Let's face it some dirt bikes were never meant to be ridden.

How good does that look Walter? Hard to imagine a 90hp 998 GRMWRXS, be pretty wild I'm thinking...
