A classic "Nathan doing most of the hard work and then losing interest" story here.
1984 model KTM125 Enduro. Frame has been taken back to bare metal and repsrayed.
New rebore and later model piston to +0.20mm. Rod in excellent condition, main bearings seemed excellent.
Head machined to modern style.
New sprockets and X-ring chain.
New quality handlebars, grips, kill-switch and magura clutch lever.
Has 84 Honda CR disc brake front end fitted, with 84 KX triple clamps. New steering bearings.
New air filter.
Very good pipe, freshly repacked muffler.
New rear brake shoes.
Lots of new nuts and bolts and stuff.
Water pump corrosion repaired, then I put the kick-starter through the clutch cover (see photo of un-sexy repair).
New DC side covers and radiator shrouds.
Excellent radiators.
Swing arm bearings good, minor play in dog-bone links.
Original Acerbis Elba headlight included.
LOTS of spares, including:
New crank/rod.
New barrel + shit barrel (ie: two extra barrels)
Motor to go with new barrel and crank.
Ohlins shock (needs seal, has excellent shaft).
Enduro frame with compliance plate & subframe. Rear loop cut off the subframe.
Correct 84 seat (needs cover).
Several radiators.
Swingarm (I think).
Enduro pipe (has MX pipe fitted).
Several clutch covers, all with some corrosion - at least two are definitely fixable.
Original 42.something mm triple clamps.
Throttle assembly.
Airbox.
Good original sidecovers.
Genuine MX frame & subframe.
Original Dellorto carby.
99% sure I've got a round slide 34 or 36mm Mikuni for it.
Original type speedo and switch gear included.
Tyres good - about 70%.
Bike starts and runs (with a carby fitted, obviously). It ran well with all gears engaging properly and no sign of ill-health - but the new head gasket leaks. Then I cracked the irits and put it in the shed...
Bike is in Yass, southern NSW. Can deliver to Canberra, NSW south coast and possibly Sydney for some petrol money.
$2300 for the lot. Will consider selling for less without new bars, chain, Magura, etc.
