Bultaco history.
« on: May 05, 2008, 11:36:59 am »
I'm searching for a history of Bultaco Motocross bikes for a project I'm working on. I'm especially interested in the Sherpa S 1960 to 1972 era. Anything would be extremely helpful...Thanks in advance.

Mark, I can send you a fax of some pages from "Bultaco - Todo un Mito - a real myth" by the Moto Museum Bassella, if you give me a fax no. Or you can probably get this & other books from Schoene or Don Newell.
I have a '68 Sherpa S 125 that was coming to CD5 till I ran out of trailer space, and my 4th bike ever was a 175 Sherpa S that Norm Fraser sold to me as a Pursang (didn't know till I uncrated it at home then I thought OK this will do).
What is the story on Bultaco for anyway?  Sure you don't want to focus the story on the Lobito? Just kiddin'.
