spring rates for dirttrack, Heavier or lighter than VMX?

I am going to DT my Kawi A4 soon, the rear is really stiff -should i try putting a lighter spring?

You want the damping firm especially the rebound but not necessarily the spring rate. Too hard springs will cause the rear to break traction too easily every time you get on the throttle
