SP370 / SP400 rear wheel

I am building up a SP rear wheel from individual parts and i got this spacer/dust cover for the left side today but i am not exactly sure how it fits in the hub. The depth in the sprocket carrier for the bearing is 20mm and the bearing is 15mm thick which leaves 5mm for the spacer which is 11.30 thick at the centre or 4mm just at the dust cover. I am not exactly sure which way it should face. The bearing is 52mm OD and this dust cover/spacer is 50.50 OD. If this goes in with the dust cover in first and cupped towards the outside the dust cover is loose and theres a gap around the outside of it and it does not 'seem right'. If its flipped the otherway around and the cupped side inwards then the dust cover sits out past the bore in the holder which also does not seem right. What threw me is that i was expecting this spacer to be a press in fit into the sprocket holder but at 50.50mm it is not. That means that when you remove the wheel you got this loose spacer to fall out on the left and also the large spacer on the outside of the brake plate. Is this right? I am guessing the spacer has to go in dust cover side first with the cupped side facing out, even though it does not look right but i just want to check. It does not seem like a good set up so i am thinking of making a spacer/dust cover that is 52mm OD and presses into the sprocket holder and stays there when you take the wheel out. I cant really see any drawbacks from doing that? I just want to hear from any SP370/400 owners what the correct way of assembly is on this. I have only been using online parts diagrams and i assume they are correct and no other parts are not shown in the drawings.

looks the same as on the early TS. small side outwards.
The spacer runs on that face and the large disk protects the bearing. usually grease holds it in place so it doesnt fall out . can also remove it easily without damage for bearing changes.

Thats how i would do it.

I have not seen any seal in the parts diagram??? I have just never seen a suzuki spacer like this. The PE ones have the dust cover pressed on the internal spacer around the otherway so the cupped side of the dust cover faces the hub/bearings. Theres a possibilty that some how the dust cover has slipped across to the otherside of the inside spacer but its pretty tight on it....Nope just looked on ebay and spacers are the same on there so the dust cover has not moved then.

Cant really see where a seal would go as there is only 4-5mm after this bearing is in there and that would have to be for the dust cover portion.

Yes ofcourse, but it still needs that spacer in there.

It fits with the cup towards the outside, away from the bearing. It's loose and there's a gap around the outside & when you remove the axle, it falls out.
There's no seal only the ones on the bearings. As you said "it does not 'seem right" but that's how they designed it.
The same design is used for the TM125,250,400, RM125A,B,C & a lot more.
