ts250 fork seals
« on: March 05, 2013, 07:37:05 pm »
looks like I've found some late 70's ts250 forks that'll fit my rl250 project. I had a look for an All Balls kit but all I could find was the oil seals, no dust covers?

They're 35mm forks, would a seal kit for another model do the job? Pyramid sells a kit but I'd rather not use them.

I've bought a couple of kits off them in the past, one was just plain wrong and a pain to get sorted, the others leaked. I think the seal material all balls uses is better.

I had a problem with Pyramid and couldn't get it sorted so i oosted it on a few forums .

within a couple of days i had the company director on the phone doing all he could to make things right .  I have since removed those postings and never had a problem since  ;D

If they send the wrong stuff , tell them they can pay return postage or just send another set .

they did sort the problem eventually with the wrong parts, but i still reckon the allballs seals are more pliable/seal better. The forks on my ktm300 leaked like a sieve before i'd even ridden it after i'd rebuilt them. I changed the seals for the all-balls kit and they've been fine even after a few rides
