Missing in Action.
« on: March 13, 2013, 12:35:22 pm »
With all of the recent talk of flat track on here it's odd that old Freakshow hasn't added his two bobs worth to the discussion. He's got a number of Champions, Trackmasters et al but there hasn't been a squeek.
Has he been involved in another shitfight that I might have missed? I saw he and TM Bill had a little incident but compared to other battles Freaky's fought, including with me at times, it was nothing. What's up Freaky?

It is a bit hard on the computer when you talk in person you are less likely to get guys having arguments as people articulate themselves better and you can judge more than just words facial expressions etc.

I think a lot of it is people take opinions as personal attacks like when some one is selling a bike and people say that is to expensive and try to talk down about the quality and what the bike should be worth.

I see it on other forums I am on for the cars that I have and it happens on them as well but sometimes guys just need a break too I know sometimes I walk in to my shed and just think I can't be bothered but in a months time I might be in there every night till 10 at night working.

I didn't realise that Tony had gone......What's the score there? I've met Tony a few times, he's even sampled a few Klub Kevlar Margaritias in the Kompound and he's indeed one of the good blokes and Freaky's one those characters that make this forum and the sport fun. Let's hope they can return once whatever it is that's caused 'em to go AWOL is sorted.

This is about the 4th time Tony's deregistered himself from the forums.
Knowing Tony a bit, I don't think it's the result of a barney or a tantrum, more likely just a(nother) self-enforced hiatus.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Both Freaky and Tony T are forum good guy's and will be back one day I'm sure.
Its a bit like losing interest in one longterm project and needing a break for a while to rekindle the enthusiasm and moving onto another, I know a lot of us have gone down that path a few times.
Some people don't have hides like Rhino's. ;)

If you have the 2013 Mom's
you will see that Freaky is now listed as an  MA commisioner,
Maybe that has something to do with it

Good on him, he's def involved in the sport across the board, I just hope he can hang in there long enough to have an impact, plenty have tried before him.
I'm sure its partly that he doesn't have the time and more importantly, doesn't want to shit in his own nest if provoked.
Provocation, that doesn't happen on here surely?

HI fellas miss me ?  sorry been busy building the house, sorry that should read finishing as others who have attested after 6 years you think he would have finished it by now , but bikes, racing or somthing more interesting comes up.  After a visit at xmas from John Tate i was really embarrassed that i counld even offer him and his wife a place to stay.  So cut a long story short i have been working on it daily since january, even paying a mate $300 a day to help, so being time poor, broke and kinda tired out now i have been refocusing...... and come up for air.

The NZ thing is old news, that was just 2 differant views and we both disagree, it is what it is. On the bright side my motor will finally turn up next week just intime for the winter speedway season yeah !.

Anyway the good news with the house is you can now see the floor, your can go out the back door, infact we now have doors and skirting boards even a bathroom .... i reckon there is another $20k in kitchens and carpets etc to go but ill get there i need some bike time first.

We start racing again on the weekend.  I have plenty of progects i need to start on, i got young guys im handing bikes out to to race  and there is a few long term ideas i have been working on in the state even long track is getting a big push this year.. So hang on for the ride kids its getting dirty in 2013.

On a side note i still need more room so im still selling some DTs. TM's , TS's and whats ever else dont fit my new 4 bike per discipline policy.  I may sell of a YZ or 2 but there keepers unless the right offers are out there.  As firko says i have some really tasty kit and id love to take it out and ride it and show it, but time and next projects are holding me back ATM, but long term there is some good stuff id like to take to a HBBB or one of those non racing things at some point.

I have a new bucket list items and this year im going to work towards them.  Sorting out the house was the first must do as i want to have my 45th party in it and also Xmas for once.

Even have some freinds stay over next time SA host the NAtionals :O)   Ill be dropping in and out but dont forget, im still around.

cheers for the post thought nice to be missed :O)
