YZ 490 L model jetting
« on: February 22, 2013, 12:48:37 pm »
Any one have a clue what a YZ 490 jetting should be close to at sea level? Also the float level, can anyone shed light on a measurement?

Ol mates new "old" purchase is not starting without lots of kicking, pushing etc, leaking fuel from the carb etc.

its a "USA" 490 with the link, double leader brake so i am assuming a K or L model

i will check the needle and seat, lower the float height a tad and then see how it starts.

if it can be kicked ok, i can look at the jetting for each range and see if we have any richness that may also be affecting starting. i am a newby with the 490.

if there is a known starting point with pilot, needle etc that would be great info to work with... ???

cheers
