Cool.. would love to know where Randy and John's RN & RH's ended up, don't think they've ever surfaced in Qld.
Note the Phil Thew Moto ute in the background, he was a big name in Qld mx in the 70's.

Yeh, some great names there in Qld MX. I recall Randy Jones on a DT1M. He was a real wheelie freak on that. Dazzled me as a 12-13yr old spectator. Also recall some stunning rides by John Walmsley on Maico 125/250/400 square barrels, 250 radial & 450 Kaw. Never saw him on a Suz. Phil Thew also had Stan Veenstra on an RH. 75 I think.  Those were the days...

Sorry I have Never heard of randy Jones or the other one, the two don`t ring any bells, what was in there resume, did they ever race in victoria, did they race against, Gary Adams RN400, Gary & Trevor Flood, Gary O`Brien, Per Klitland, Jack Pengally, Bernie Ryan, etc.

They were both Qld champions and probably never ventured to Vic to race unless there was an Aussie title..

Thanks mposs, thats a really interesting read. It emphasises how unique, short lived and factory they were.
