Hi Guys,
I have a very interesting and excellent working British lathe for sale. A Drummond round bed produced from 1908 to 1940 with only minor model enhancements over that period. Google it to have a more detailed picture of its capabilities and uses.
The lathe has the following
11.5 inches between centres
On / Off switch wired for forward and reverse
Set of screw cutting gears
Automatic feed
4 post tool holder ( home made )
3 jaw chuck
Assorted tools and cutters
Attached to its own sturdy metal table
Imported and sold by A.E. Herbert of Sydney
A small brake on one of the pulley's, this does not affect it's use as it is a very old breakage
Pretty heavy lathe so pick up only, I am located at Dural, Sydney not far from Hornsby.
This is a very rare lathe and I would like a fellow collector of irreplaceable creations ( some people call it junk or scrap iron ) to buy it for what I consider to be very reasonable price of $650. You will not be dissapointed.
It has served me well over the years but I need to clear the shed of some goodies, however, I still have another lathe ( Hercus ) to serve my needs.
Contact me if you have any questions you would like answered.
Thanks for looking, please don't be slow as it will sell quickly when advertised.
