My car is leaking oil [or is it?]
« on: February 03, 2013, 03:35:15 pm »
Have 4 Honda Vigors, [5 cylinder 2 & 2.5 litre shittas]  yes it's an illness like DT1 Yamahas. One car [was our regular driver] is sitting with a cracked screen [not covered by third party insurance] so she's parked up growing cobwebs & flat battery. Put charger on yesterday for a while then put it on today again & noticed oil all over inlet manifold [had charger there yesterday], thinking i had an oil leak somewhere i cleaned it up & sat charger there again but saw oil leaking from the charger [doesn't make sense], wiped it over then checked bench where it sat for ages--[puddle of deep blue oil] couldn't work it out but saw the grease gun hanging high above the bench on a nail on a cross support thing. Temp is so hot here at the mo it's turned the grease to liquid & running down the handle of the plunger [suck grease in to fill it] thing.
Reminds me of my old holden [about "68 model], leaked so bad from the rear seal i ended up running disposable nappies up in the gap between crank & clutch [i think!!] & held up by a stretchy cord. We're going to XXXX place tonight darling--ok dear i'll just change the nappy!!. Pretty much how it was in those days of 'hard time'--nothing changed there then.
