Yamaha rider Rod Faggotter leads the Aussie charge at Dakar after nine stages and a handful of gruelling special tests. Faggotter, who sits two points ahead of KTM’s Ben Grabham, lies 16th overall with Grabbo 18th. The rest of the Aussie contingent is also on the limiter with Honda’s Todd Smith finishing fastest of the green and gold battalion in the ninth stage with a 17th, moving himself up to 42nd overall, while Warren Strange is 31st overall and Matt Fish is 126th.

Yep...unfortunately... Fishy's job as "water boy" is having a great impact on his "race"...he has had to tow in the SpeedBrain lead rider at least once.. and I think also swapped a back wheel early on also...

Bit sad as Fishy looks to have the speed. Must have lost an engine too as he has a 15.00 penalty.

That's a good interview!

Interesting how these guys were over the Dakar at the end of it and dont need to do it again versus other guys that keep going back (like Pavey) They must love the challange and hardship?

Can you imagine going to the minister for tourism and finance and suggesting that we need to invest 200K to do the Dakar. ???
