Almost certain he was not. Team orders and as Bond said it was team orders and he was OK with that. I can not see anything wrong with it either it happens in every sport or at least in every team. Although the ford 1-2 that years was crap as we all know the the next good Falcon will be the first one ;D

It was the photo and Hannah's win at all cost attitude that made it a big deal at the time.  After he got the check from Yamaha with no complaints he realized it was just business and nothing personal (as the Mafia says).  He pulled over for other team mates later in his career.

It was a loss of innocence (or ignorance) moment for American motocross.  ;)
