Suzuki chrome molly brackets
« on: December 26, 2012, 01:07:13 pm »
Currently in the process of a RM400 T project and I'm after the tabs that secure the forward section of the rear guard (my ones are missing) If anyone has a PE or RM frame that's scrap metal that they could hacksaw off the tube with those two tabs on it I'd be too happy to pay for the time and trouble, alternatively if anyone has something similar (light gauge gusseted chrome molly brackets with a 6mm thread) I'd be interested as well. It's just a niggly little thing but it's the only thing holding back the frame from being treated.

Get a piece of  M/steel 25mm box 2mm thick x 40mm long, cut it in half (length wise ) with 5mm shoulders each side. Shape it up so it looks like the other tabs, then drill a 6mm hole  12mm in from the shaped end and weld it in place.
Is it a N frame by any chance as the rear guard mounted to the air box ????
