Am I Faulken Mad? A New YZ250H Project ??
« on: December 30, 2012, 08:47:14 pm »
Went for a ride on my '83 CR250 yesterday at Fairbairn. The track was in better nick than I've seen it all year and I had a ball with the few laps I put down. Haven't ridden much this year after having a big off back in April at Clarence NSW, but the thought of being part of the Nats at the Lakes next May has got my juices flowing again. So, after dinner tonight I took the tarp off this one and removed the tank and started rubbing it back. It's now soaking in the laundry tub. Took me 3 years on the last resto (YZ125G) but I need to get this one into race shape in a matter of months. She's ugly but they all come up well with a bit of a makeover. I told myself I'd never do another resto, but bugger it let's give it a go! Might also do a bit of Classic DT on it so let me know if you have a spare rear hub or wheel;

You're a sucker for punishment aren't you? Still, it goes at least, so maybe just a bit of a cosmetic touch-up?

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.
