Jay, like you I originally ran a Unifilter out in the breeze on the old DT1 from Hell but it was letting a lot of gunk through. After trying a few different options I eventually came accross a 2 litre (2 quart) Tupperware container at the Salvation Army thrift store. I cut a big enough hole in the base to take the Uni filter flange, and drilled the shit out of the lid and a number of random 3/8 holes in the main body so the uni-fliter can breath but not let too much dirt in. The tupperware airbox worked a treat but for some now forgotten reason I eventually replaced it with a hacked up MX250 item whick looked cobby as shit.
The clip lid makes access easy and if you're worried about it coming off, a twirl of duct tape will secure it. you might need a couple of clamps like below to afix it to the frame, stopping it wobbling about. You could also use a quart ice cream container or similar vessel. Let your head go in the thrift shop tupperware section!
