Thanks for the offer, a mate has a spare one he can lend me as well. I should have most of the parts in time. I'll see how I go next week, I might have to take it down there half finished and give it a run at the back of the field.  I'm used to riding back there...

sorry this one didn't fit the bill. I reckon half an hour with some pliers and a coathanger should get you something usable until a genuine one turns up?

Yeah, it might come to that.  The cage is fairly critical as the filter is held in place by the air box lid pushing hard against the filter and cage.

does the lid have pins that lock into the cage (like a 125c/x, if you have ever seen their setup) ? If so I reckon you could get by with something than wasn't welded solid as the pins would stop the whole cage from racking and collapsing. The base would be held by the flange in the airbox.

No sorry, just the cage, and a box of miscellaneous doodads.

Out of interest, does anyone recognise the cage in the pic?

I emailed the pic to a mate and he said it looks like a 75/76 duel filter cage possibly a MX.
