Is this pre 78 legal. Does anyone know  if they made these in 1977?

I'm told you have to be careful with these DG swingarms, the upright tube is larger in diameter than the stock one and it will smash your air box when you bottom out.

I have a copy of the 77 DG cattle dog  only the 125 is listed . Iain

I have a copy of the 1978 DG catalog, which came out in late 1977.  The arms are listed for the YZ400 D&E, but who would by one for the E?
