Be good to have that track up and running again. I never even knew it existed.

Hagon? Saturday? You coming to the ACTMCC Chrissy party/ride day Foss?

Frames the wrong color Tony! ;D

Picky bastards............  :P   :D :D

I wouldn't know a Godden if I fell over one, so it was a bit (lot) of a guess.  ;)

It just a quick run through Photoshop, Rosco.
I do some photo restoration as part of my work. That's not my finest effort, but just wanted to see if I could improve it.

Yeah , thanks for the efforts with the pic , Tony , as well as being old photos , all my albums were partly burnt in a house fire in 1979, I recovered a lot of photos, by soaking them apart but I lost heaps too,
and Slides, I've never worn goggles, just me Buddy Holly specs in those days.

Yup, they are your old leathers, Jim, that you grew out of or something. The pants survived the fire but the jacket didn't.

Pete , the Club that promoted at Marchmont was the ACT Motorcycle Sportmens Club, I think they ran at Mt.Ginn as well there used to be two motorcycle clubs in Canberra, the other is the present ACTMCC.

Dunno what the meeting at Yass was but it was a big one, a few guns were there, I was riding the Elstar with my Speedway JAP motor fitted, I'd ridden Tralee on the Saturday on me Rotrax copy and swapped the  motor into the DT frame that night, it had a steel rod, knife edge flywheels, Don Godden  longtrack cam and a small dose of nitro and it was one  gear better than KP's KSS JAP, he was flat knacker in top down the straight, I shifted into top as I went by, he accused me of running a biggun so I offered him the spanners to pull it down and have a look.

Anyhoo, Gough and Missus turned up and watched a few races and had a yack to the placegetters, KP , Doug Platts and myself in one race, he sat on Doug's JAP and we offered to push start him so he could have a skid around , his reply was " you buggers are mad !!" I did post a fuzzy shot, from Revs, on the forum in CDT Images. of him on the bike

Be great to get it happening again, I really liked the place. The Yass Speedway car club ran there for years, too
