Super OZ Motorcycling Event.
« on: October 27, 2012, 09:19:56 pm »
Look out, I've just had a brainwave.
I've just niticed that the supercross is being held at Phillip Island in conjunction with the Moto GP, have I been asleep, probably.
All we need now is to find a venue within spitting distance that could hold a round of the Speedway GP and we'd all be set.
We've already got 2 out of 3 involved.
It's time we really took control and showed the world how to do it, we've been doing it on track for years.
Let me know if I'm p!55!n9 in the wind and I'll p!55 off.

sounds like a good idea to me. Speedway is as exciting to watch as the other disciplines, maybe more so

More overtaking in 1 minute than an entire MotoGP, that's my opinion.
Honestly, in the world of motorcycling promotion I reckon we've been left behind, this could be the ultimate speedweek.

With all due respect to HBB but this would be the biggest gathering of serious bike events on the planet.
Our infatuation with OH&S will be our biggest hurdle but we try to portray ourselves as being a can do society.

Everything in one place.speedway.mx.vmx.vinduro.enduro.road racing.
All ready to rock and roll.
now just have to get Mr Drakeford one of the orginizers/officials on the same wave lenght that your asking for.

Good idea Slidey, in fact it makes too much sense for Oz :). A speedway World Championship round is a bit too much to ask of Broadford and the Bonanza Alison. Let's keep the Bonanza dirt track/speedway just for us working class plebs and leave the big stuff to the big stadiums  ;).
