RM500 shock flap

Here's a tip in anyone is restoring an 84 RM500. The rear shock flap is unobtainable but sometimes pops up in Evilbay for extraordinary price ie: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=009&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=190213151816&rd=1

The 83 flap is almost identical you just need to trim a little of the bottom like in this on: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuki-RM125-RM250-RM465-RM500-RM-NOS-Rear-Mud-Flap_W0QQitemZ190213562290QQihZ009QQcategoryZ35581QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

And they are still available at your local Suzuki for $36!!!!

ah ya gotta love a bit of free enterprise eh!  :P I've always checked dealers first and being the scab I am will always go for the cheaper option. Gotta love Zooki's for their parts..it's not they made any more spares than anyone else it's simply zooks rarely need anything hence there is a reasonably plentiful supply still ;D

Keep a lid on any more "inside" suzuki knowledge-we don't everyone finding out how reliable they are!
