Amazing, Aussie wins world title and did anyone here hear or see anything in the "Media" excepting a couple off brilliant raves by Will Hagon on the ABC Radio Sunday afternoon during some local car race?

I'm hearing you Tim. But I bet that it is headline news on the sports section of Polish TV. What a strange country we live in , where we are becoming more like the Yanks and only seem to be interested in what happens within our own shoreline.  The media dictates what they think we should be watching. They may as well call the AFL the "World Series", like the Yanks do with baseball, because it seems to be all we ever hear about lately (even up here in NQ where it is mainly a rugby league area) and we are the only silly buggers in the World that play the game. If a Mexican ping-pong player so much as breaks a fingernail, it's major news up here now.

I agree with the comments on the media coverage of Holders world title win. It's now Tuesday and I've seen or heard nothing on the elctronic media except for Will Hagon during a crossover from the Bathurst race on 702 ABC and a small mention on the ABC Brakfast TV show yesterday. Shame on the big media.

Hey Firko as much as it pains me to say it but Australian Speedway has an ally in...

wait for it...

Alan Fuggin Jones.

No not one of the good AJ's like your mate or the ex F1 champ but the right wing nut job who pollutes the airwaves on 2GB.

Anyhow if you can put up with his mincing voice for a few minutes you will eventually get to hear from our new world champ! GO C.H.!!!

Hahaha mate I can assure you that I would not normally listen to that man or even that station. 2GB is a sad sad version of what it once was.

I got that link from a post on facebook that was put up by a well known NSW Dirt Track legend.  ;)

Cheers

So where do you think our controlling body is in all this?? I feel sure alot of the press in Poland and France and even England would get a call from the sports 'heads' alerting them to the fact that 'hey - we have a winner' and yet our illustrious MA is as quiet as a mouse-too busy counting our pennies that prop them up me thinks.
