OzVMX Photo Gallery - which is best?
« on: April 09, 2008, 09:16:36 pm »
I've been thinking of changing the photo gallery, so installed a new program. But I'm just not sure. I like it - it seems to show pictures better. But it is a bit light on for features and the silly 'security code' is nearly impossible to read. I have to click it several times before I get one I can read well enough to actually submit a pic. So, I went and reskinned the original gallery, and now I'm just not sure. I think I'll stick with the original. But I'll take your advice on this one, go have a look and report back on what you think. Poll on top of this topic.

By the way, feel free to register with the new one and even post a pic. I think I have to approve the pics the way I have it set up right now, so may take a while for any pics to get on there. I'll leave it go for a few days then if I decide to stick to the old one I'll delete the new one and any pics in there. And don't ask me what a 'lightbox' is in the new gallery - I haven't tried that yet so don't know myself.

I couldn't get the new one to upload and the verifaction codes thing is really hard to read and it plays with your brain. ???

Yeah, that verification code's a killer. Don't like that at all.

Why isn't there a sticky to take you to the gallery? I guess because it's linked from the main OzVMX site. But that's a fair point, I'll have a look and see if I can add a link up in the forum links, maybe next to 'calendar'.

I voted for the new one based on navigating around and looking at some of the photos.
I found it easier than the old one, but I didn't try to 'load' any photos.
Is that what you mean 414?

Yeah it was ok to get around in however when I tried to down load pics it just kept showing that I was putting the wrong code in. I had about fifty goes and then gave up. All day today all I could think of was POgf5e, Huj6Dgf and Fcuk8N.....

Security code seems to be gone now Graeme. I just downloaded again and it didn't ask me for it. :)

Yep, worked out how to turn it off. It is only used for registration now. So that makes using the thing a bit easier.
