Hey thanks for that... :)

The actual part is 41053-1034 and is the brake arm.

I have seen it on the CMSNL site? Has anyone had luck with them... I have never tried?

Have you dropped the barrell of yet?
If so have you confirmed what you have? Is it on the standard bore? has it been sleeved? (which is not unusual) From there we can assist and give you some options on what to do. There are quiet a few forum members that have 83/84 air cooled KX5's and have been through the process of rebuilding them. As long as the gearbox is good, the rest is pretty easy, but not cheap!

What condition is the kick starter mechanism in? This was a weak point on this motor but can be overcome, albeit with money  ;D

Hey thanks for the interest;

The barrel is original plating with an original piston and a worn ring.. Plans are to fit a new ring if the barrel checks out or bore and plate to .25 with a Rocky Cycle piston.  Not sure on the Piston quality maybe you could advise.

The kicker is great and clutch/gears seem fine.  The mains are gone so I have to strip for that as a minimum....fingers crossed on the way in?

GMC is working right now on the pipe and silencer..everything is pretty good after a solid day!!!

One other thing ..are the Hotfootmoto sliders any good...I know they are the wrong colour..  I have the manifold in hold at DC as well.

Thanks again for the help  :)

Just seen your message GMC ...tourque arm was the convo with you today but I also need the backing plate arm for the rear brakes....

You can use a late model piston, just drop the bottom ring off. Unless your going to contest a title event, a single ring piston will be more than o/k. If you don't have to bore it then don't. Another issue you need to pay attention to is the fitting of the mains into the cases. Check to see if they have been spinning in the case.
