On the hunt for a XR 250R 1982 rear guard

On the hunt for a XR 250R 1982 for a local old guy who is rebuilding or restoring one as far as i can tell from his phone call.

HE is adament its a big long reg guard not unlike a front guard.  its the first prolink model or somthing and all the model after it where short ones.  I had the 84 and 85 model and i remember them as being sort of square > he seems to think these ones are long and rounder.

I have nor idea but do you have one ?

Cheers God, butbeing an older chap who dont have email even, i dont like my chances of helping him on the net.

Also what about the colour match ?  I reackon he should hit the Honda shops surely there must be a stack of those old bastard guards out there somwhere going for a song, and in the right red, cause from memory it was more red than the next model which was more not red ? if that makes sense.

Freaky. I have some XR250 rears. Genuine used, yeah the short ones. Not those after market daggy things.

sorry he is specific on the long ones.  i think its a resto of some sort.  im just helping the old guy out.
