Green Light.
« on: July 25, 2012, 11:01:42 pm »
Finally I recieved the green light today to get back to work and my leg now feels like it's really mine.
14 weeks off and self employed hasn't been good, on top of that the insurance co came good just last week, a huge relief.
I'll admit I've had some strange thoughts over the last 3 months that actually scared me.
Comeback to racing set for the 2013 Classic Dirt Track titles, wherever they are, Nepean would be perfect.
A big thanks to those who gave me support through a tough time.
Cheers, Steve

Cheers Mick, I might finally get a good night sleep tonight.
If you're coming to Nepean next weekend, (4th & 5th) can you bring a spare cuppa for Jim.
It'll be his first night of camping and he's already asking me what time I'll be up to boil the billy for him, apparently he can't function without a cuppa in the morning.
I don't even do that for my wife.
I'll have the berocca's ready him though.

Income protection with TAL, have been with them for 18 years without a claim.
The paperwork involved is amazing and they put up as many obstacles as they can but to there credit they eventually approved my claim, minus the first 4 weeks, I won't complain though.
Be interesting to see how much my premium increases.
Cheers Brad.

Gosh Steve if my memory serves me correctly you had pretty well retired about thirteen weeks ago. Sounds like you maybe reconsidering and thats a good thing. Will be good to see you going round again on the mighty DR. Know what you mean about the self employed thing. All a bit of a worry that when it all goes pear shaped.

Time does cloud the memorry of pain Col.
The leader of the opposition doesn't know my plans just yet but because I've got both pre65 & pre70 projects already on the go I'm not prepared to waste them on someone else, the DR however will be ridden by someone else, I'm officially retired from pre85 and newer.
I'm having my rod removed early next year, the one in my leg of course, the other one was very nearly removed the day the other one was installed.
Thanks Col & Punchy.
