maybe......

But as it says, it is part finished, incomplete and has no bearings.

So add to that the cost of finishing ie my polisher can only do his 50 times tables, so 1 item is £50, 2 is £100 irrespective of what it is, so for this arm that needs brush finishing.

Add bearings and the sleve spacer and getting it all to fit.  £50 every day of the week.

Add to that making the missing parts.  £50?

Plus all of the ball aching leg work and running round and general faffing about and suddenly, buying one all done is starting to make  alot of sense.

A KLP arm is $599 (2012 prices) , $200 less than the ebay listing.  (not sure if KLP's comes with the bearings etc)

So for something that was bought years ago (for less than $599?) has been sat round on the shelf for a while and now need to be moved on, I think that is probably a fair price.  It is a replica part (a very beautiful replica part) perhaps if it was a genuine item it would have been different.

Ok, so the seller says they have been selling for upto $2000.  For a replica part that yo can but for $599?  I guess not.    Maybe for an original item, but this isnt an original item so it's not a fair comparison.

Who knows.....

Personally I love it and think it was a bargain.  Love the craft that is involved and wish I had the skills to do similar work.  Beautiful parts like that are worth building a bike just to fit them.

A red rocket with all the goodies is on my wish list.  maybe one day...
