Just thought I'd post up my recent purchase and get some input on the bike and what to/not to do to it.

Bit of a rundown....

The Positives:
Previous owxner said the motor had been rebuilt, it has
New chain and sprokets
Recoverd seat (no writing though)
No sloppy bearings, will grease them
Pro Circuit pipe
Different Kayaba forks with a disc brake
Changed fluids and started on the 5th kick

Negatives.
Needs original Headlight/shroud
Fork seals need to be replaced/serviced
Rear spring has lost its Nitrogen charge (not too sure if these can be rebuilt easily?)
No original speedo
Needs new rear brake shoes & original stickers...ebay?

So it really only needs the suspension sorted and some new rubber, I don't really want to throw a heap of money at it, just plod along doing bits and pieces for the moment and maybe strip it and repaint when time permits. Any input appreciated.

Cheers

Nice bikes those, back in the day, try here and http://www.dcvmx.com/  have a thorough look around the products section as you can get decals seat cover and plastics to suit that bike easy.
