1981 KX420 for sale

This has taken a lot of soul searching to do but I am putting my KX 420 up for sale! I have owned this bike since 1983 so it is a member of the family. However I'm trying to stay semi rational about it. It sits in the corner of my shed and get's used maybe once or twice a year these days, so I would like it to go to someone who will use for what it was intended. It is totaly original right down to the plastics. The whole bike is in great mechanical shape but the "shiny" layer has long gone. Engine wise there is nothing that needs doing, the front forks have been rechromed and the rear shock rebuilt by Krooze tune a few years ago. The front tyre isn't new but is o.k and rear tyre is new.
I do have some spares that will go with the bike if it sells.
1 spare piston with two sets of rings
1 front sprocket cover (genuin)
1 owner manual
1 factory parts catalogue with exploded views of all components
1 set of rear links to lower 4"
There are lots more things that I could say about this bike but I'm getting a little emotional thinking about it all !!!
I'm asking $4000 for everything I have. These are a fairly rare bike and this one is complete and well and truely runnig.

Hey Piney . I have just been out in the shed dusting to take some photos. I will try to get some going tomorrow, all this computer stuff conspires against me! You know I have owned this bike for 29 years and have very few photos of it!! Go figuire?

Bike resides in outer eastern subs of Melbourne.
As you may have already guessed, I have had it at Broadford D/T a few time and have come to the conclusion that you need to be very commited to get the best out of it, or you should be "commited" not quite sure yet? Sorry about the Yamaha leathers, but may give a clue to were the funds might be going.

Help me out guys and put me out of my missery. I am open to offers but not stupid ones, if you are in the Kilsyth area of Melbourne and would like to inspect the bike that's not a problem. I have made my mind up and would like to see her go to a good home..

I put my Cagiva up for sale this week, but my wife made me take it down cos I turned into such a grumpy bastard!
