My First Ride with Viper
« on: April 15, 2012, 09:59:28 pm »
A big thanks to all involved with the practice day at Ravenswood. Also the new Committee members.
I had been thinking about having a go at racing Viper for about 6 months.  This was the first opportunity to come along. A few mechanical problems meant the bike I planned to bring had to stay in the shed. So I brought along my faithful reliable one.
Thanks to the generosity of others I got to ride a few different bikes. Ross's YZ250L, Peter's YZ250G and Frank's awesome '84 KX250. These bikes all make me realise I need a real VMX bike not a trailbike.
Can't wait for Monza, no matter what I'll be riding.
Cheers, Grahame KDX250

It was good to have yourself and your fellow Vinduroists along for the day Graham. That poor KDX of yours has paid for itself ten-fold.
We had a lovely little camp spot. Ravo has to be the nicest track to be at on a sunny day like yesterday.
The only problem with Viper now is trying to work out which classes I want to ride! :D. I still can't make my mind up.....
Jim had a really bad day taking three dead bikes home. Fortunately the Husky turned out to be a piece broken away from the stator and his sons 125 was running again last night after it dumped all its coolant (but its getting pulled down for a check).
A really good day had by all I reckon ('cept Jim of course). ;)
