« on: March 18, 2012, 11:41:05 am »
Hello I am chasing a BSA Bantam 175cc motor or Villers Motor around the same size 197cc ect. for a Bsa trails bike I am building.
Any help would be great. Cheers [email protected]

I am sure someone in australia has to have something lying in the corner of there shed not being used.

Just had a look at completed listings, there is no motors/parts I can see. I am on the scrounge. Something will come up out the corner of someones shed. I found the D7 Bantam on hard rubbish and has painted the tanke and relaced hubs into new wheels and also change front shocks for better suspensions and bigger brake hub. So front is 36Spoke and rear is 40 Spoke. Can't tell by looking at it. I now need a motor, I would prefer viller as 197cc is longer stroke and better for what I am going to use it for. Then I can Mock mount it and paint the frame and swingarm in 2pac.

Cheers
Tom

When I started thinking about building a pre60 scrambler a couple of years ago, I started collecting 197 Villiers bits.  I built up a complete 7E competition motor to race - a bit slow though with only a 3speed box. I also probably have enough bits to assemble another 6E which I won't need because I have a complete 9E arriving soon.
How far away are you from Brisbane?
Mike
