I know this is not vintage but still about bikes .Is anyone going to the island for the supers
Last year I rode my R6 to the island via Qld.This year I will be riding my Z1000 and hopefully a bit more comfortable.My dad rides from Caloundra to the island every year down the east coast with his mates and it's a blast, so I ride up there just to ride back again to the island .My dad has a business called soundrider and he is the king of bike intercoms ,last year we arrived at Bairnsdale and we ran into heaps of bikes going the same direction to the island,The pace picked up very quickly as everyone became keen to get there.Some young guys on sports Bikes began to push hard and tried to over take us but with dads secret weapon (two way intercom radio) we were able to find out ahead of time via the truckies if the cops were about and the info returned was spot on so the pace increased.It was a funny site to see when dad would slow down all of a sudden and the young guys would scream past him only to find a speed camera on the side of the road
.Dad would casually pass everyone again and do the same thing over again ,This went on all the way to the island
