CEE ZEE rider in the house

Hi all

Neil Ritchie here.. rider of my old man's 76 CZ 400 Falta #46 (Vic VIPER)

Most of you won't know me, but Hoony, Macca, Cormack etc. (usual VIPER suspects) will.

Had my first run at VIPER last year after taking the helm from my crazy brother who was no longer willing to put his body on the line racing the CZ.  He'll be making his comeback on the world's fastest 1984 RM125 this year (god help the Pre-85/90 CR500 riders)

Anyways, 2007 didn't go too bad, picked up 1st Pre-78 and 4th in Pre 80 at VIPER.  The old man spent lots of time looking for horsepower as it was sadly lacking at the start of the year.  Reliability was a big issue though...
1. Blue Rock - just made it, but developed an air leak late in the day.  Bugger all power.
2. Ballarat - spark plug vibrated out (gotta love those dodgy washers + CZ vibration)
3. Ravo - disintegrating rear hub
4. Barrabool - Flying until it blew a head gasket & got stuck in 2nd gear (day over)

Planning another shot at it this year, 'team manager' is keen to see it out there so I'm busy buying up CZ parts from all over the world to see us through the season....

Good forum here, hopefully I'll see lots of you guys out there at Vic Classic & VIPER this year.

God I love your Old Man's accent! When you and your brother were kids, your dad could have cracked them and said "Didn't you kids understand what I told you?!" and you could have honestly answered..... No?
This is so unfair!  Between these guys and the Baker Boys there isn't gunna be much left for the rest of us this year except the Pre 35, over 65's pirate lesbian class!
How 'bout we all chip in and get these fella's some decent modern bikes, pack them off to the Vic Titles and then we can sneak off and.........
