holy smegma I should have kept my 900 SS in the early 90s.... it was the expensive ticking sound coming from the bottom end that made me flog it.  ::)

A very, very cool bike, no doubt!
And it may very well sell for $25k, but I've learned lately that advertised price and selling price can be very different animals.   ;)

Too true...... yeah the value of the bevels has gone stupid lately, i think it probably part reflects the cost of building an engine which can run 10K any old time. I saw 750 round case, just the engine for 18K AUD the other day.

I guess if this H2 is still bidding at 18K then anything is possible. Against the S2 is it is not really a 900SS ... actually the Mille engine is quite a bit better than the old 860 based shitter in at least 10 significant ways, but folks want originality.

I like 'em but honestly I have no idea when it comes to these things.  ::)
I just like to pretend that I've got a real Ducati cos I've got a 'trail bike' with a 750SS engine in it.........    :D

No matter, I love looking at them.
Kinda like naked women these days......... I still like looking at them, I just can't remember why...........  ::)

Hi Tony, Lucky Explorer is probably my favourite of the Cagiva produced bikes, apart from the Indiana..... I would hang on to it, the big tank Dakar bikes are probably never going to come around again. R80GS Dakars have cult status now and good ones get big bucks.

Yeah, I'm hanging onto it.
It took me nearly 2 years to find it and I've now got it sorted so i'm not about to give it up now.  ;D
