I'm surprised the Bultaco Astros weren't more popular in short circuit/dirt track thru the '70's . Great looking bikes and super quick! Chris Kelly raced a 250 and a 360 with great success. The one in reply #21 is a ripper. Wish it was in my shed :) Mark

At the very first Vintage DT Nats at Mildura in the mid 90's I recall a number of Redline and Trackmaster replica XS650s and Triumphs racing. Apparently a local Mildura bloke had jigged up to produce locally made copies. They looked pretty good too.....Anyone know anything about those bikes or the frame builder?

That Yamaha in the "Champion frame" is a shell with Shell/Starracer glass on it.The Frames were made by Doug Schwema for Shell Thuett. The glass was made to fit those frames.I think a guy from St.Louis ,Mo made the glass.   TCL
