Yeah, that's my style don't you think?  ::)
It's the factory XT550 from the Dakar Rally. Lots of IT stuff obviously but also XJ650 front disc, twin leading rear brakes.
The only downfall might be the cost in replicating that tank.  :-\

An XT/TT600 disc brake front end should fit right on there Tony, it's a good start but that tank.................. :o
That could take some doing

Hey I know that feeling ::)

One running XT race bike :)
Everything I need to build another one ::)
XR200 powered KTM to finish ::) ::)
Wife CRF230 suspension (I think it needs it!)
Probably enough parts to build another XT and have some spares :o
And I'm not game to look at the rest.

But on the bright side, I got an avatar to load now I'll try for a picture.

Hey Brent, have you seen Rick Sieman's Project CRF230 on www.off-road.com ?
Might be some ideas for you there.

PS maybe I'm not doing so bad when I see your 'to do' list.  ;D

Yup found that one Tony,

I've de-restricted it and have several options for the forks, no USD tho.
I thought about trying to revalve the shock but think I'll settle for a YSS, a lot less stress
