New from Brisbane
« on: October 02, 2011, 06:20:04 pm »
Hi all,

my name is Thomas and while I live in Brisbane, I am of German origin.

When I came to Australia about 9 years ago I finally managed to buy the bike I always wanted, a Honda XR600. Had it for a while and loved it until the wife wanted to pillion. So I sold the XR (aaaargh) and bought a Ducati...and sold that a year later due to lack of use.

I realized that I prefer the tinkering to the actual (road) riding so I started much to my wife's dismay accumulating Yamaha ITs. I own a 175, 250 and 490, all 1983 and I am currently working on a 1980 Yamaha HL250E...which is a HL500 inspired twin shock converted enduro version of the XT250.

I have been active in the yamahait.com.au forum under the same username and would like to do the same here. I enjoy learning new things and acquiring new skills, so it looks like this is the place to come to.

Cheers,

Thomas
