although Ali what happened in Japan impacted upon your thoughts to vote for a local CEO's pay rise - sorry don't see how the 2 relate??????

He wants a payrise just as Uranium price fall on ASX and after Japans Tsnuarmee big wave hit ::)

And Ali - I actually have experienced a lot of those little tribal villages your refer to on the ABC - again generalisations as it isn't always a bad story  :o  ABC isn't always gospel ;D  It is too !!    ;D  ;)

Right - round 2 or do we stop before we get accused of being NON Vintage ;D General Discussion = Non Vintage  ;)

Best is in the West !!

WTF is this, another political discussion.
Haven't we learned already, this is an old motorcycle forum?
Both sides of politics are just as bad as each other.
Cut spending?
Yeah good idea, should've done it 3 years ago
Give ourselves a pay rise while we JAM the populous up the Clacka.
In the immortal words of John Macenroe, YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS.
Fair dinkum, compared to the rest of the world we're travelling pretty well, but if we keep this sought of shite up it'll soon go pear shape.
By the way, where's Nathan, I haven't noticed him on here recently?

............. not everybody is a brain surgeon and whilst there are a lot of oxygen thieves out there a smaller minority are actually good at their job and deserve their salary.  You get what you pay for - pay peanuts and get monkeys is the old saying.

If you pay more peanuts you don't get better monkeys what you get is a gorillas.

My big concern with modern economics is that management of an enterprise seems to have had the emphasis removed from the actual output and achievements of the enterprise to the increase of the share value on the stock market to the detriment of all other considerations.
To my way of thinking a manufacturer or service provider etc should deliver the product that meets the customer needs, at a profit with a sensible price, without unfairly exploiting community, country, environment or employees, and if the share price goes up, good but what has that got to do with the reason for the business being there in the first place?
 cheers pancho
dont follow me i'm probably off line!
