that'll make it even easier-let's see Bundy Rum. Coopers Dark Ale. A lovely Barossa Red or 2 followed by a Stanthorpe Muscat-all Ozzy made.
Aussie made? maybe. Aussie owned? Well as far as Aussie rum is concerned, Bundy is owned by the
British company Diageo. Inner Circle is owned by Lion Nathan (
NZ/Japan) and worst of all...is now made in
Fiji. For many years Inner Circle stood above just about every rum in the world in the dry rum class but Lion Nathan bought the company from CSR, stripped and sold off the assets and used the name on an inferior (
read:cheap) Fijian product. Thankfully Beenleigh and Frigate are both owned by VOK which is Aussie owned so if Aussie style dry rum is your thing....give Bundy the flick and buy Frigate or Beenleigh, trust me, you won't know the difference mixed with Coca-Cola (
USA).
