Friday 19th saw the Merrylands 'residue' turn up for our annual Christmas get together.
Guess what made me feel better after my birthday last week? I was the second youngest there!
15 turned up with 2 from Qland and a few others who had to do a bit of travelling.
Nepean raceway officianados included Fred Boyd, Jim Winstanley,Bob Ely, Gordon Doble, Les Watts, Kieth Jones and 79 year old Ron beaver who said he had about 6 race days under his belt this year!
Also in the Nepean lot was Arthur Hobson who was behind lots of meeting preparation race secretary work, lapscoring etc. over years there.
Ron and Les said they are keen to come down and ride next year at the classic 2-day event.
Be really great to see them ride again, I'm sure Ron would love to have another go at the old 25 lapper trophy.
