Good flat track starter kit.

With Short track looming as the next big way to have fun on a dirt bike, this little Star Racer frame and body might be a good starter for someone. Fit your own Yamaha engine and forks, stock back wheel with a trials tyre and lace up a 19" front and your on your way. The fading US economy can be your friend when looking for a suitable bike in the US...The prices are dropping alarmingly.

Staracer frame for early to mid 70's Yamaha DT/RT 250/360 2-stroke.  Serial # 599  Original heavy duty Staracer Tank and seat,
both in very good condition.  Includes the original rear seat support, Both R & L Footepegs, and Brake Pedal.
Original motor mounts have been altered for ???  Nickel is in good shape and polished up nicely.
 Looking for $700 plus S&H.

OR.....You could go the whole hog and buy a ready to go racer like this Champion DT360. At $3850 it's a way bit overpriced but it gives you an idea of both ends of the range.

73 Yamaha DT 360 in a Champion frame. 1  1/2 mile and 6 short track races on new motor / rebuilt bike
BRAND NEW : carb, piston, rings, all bearings, heavy flywheel, shift forks, clutch, gaskets, chain, lined tank, seat, #plates
custom paint ( not stickers ), shocks, stand.
REBUILT: forks, rear brake, Jemco Fatty, everything that was not new. Some spares, extra gearing. Tires in great shape
Nice bike, FAST, 212 lbs ready to race, needs nothing as it's all brand new or rebuilt.

$ 3850 or trade for SR, XT, XR or Ascot framer .  Cleveland, OH
