I think he'd be early to mid 40's. The track is still smooth in that moto on Sat morning.. you should see how rough it gets by Sunday arvo. :o

Was the restrictive start gate easy to get used too or was a roll start the best way to go ?

A roll start is the way to go but we were not used to it.. you can cheat a bit as the locals do

yeah the start gate is a pain
most guys who know roll it a bit
it seems to fall in slow motion
i prefer rear falling gates
got a good start in last mxdn was about tenth to the corner
but not for long ha

The sound makes you feel like your there ..good bit of footage.
How did you find the soil compared to ours - looks dry under the turned grass !
Why so many Maico's are they just the flavour of the month or they imported more to that part of the UK ??

more maicos there than a maico factory
no wonder there is so many aftermarket parts for them in the UK

The bike had razor sharp steering, neutral handling and was so easy to ride that a common joke was "riding a Maico is close to cheating".   ;D
