Nice Steve, very nice..., knowing you it is mechanically strong aswell, i have a huge soft spot for 81,82 and 83 XR's.

Mates' older brother had one new , back in the day.
 I had a ride & thought they were greatest thing .......well it was to me , back then , when compared to my XL250S anyway :-[
Still at  high school in those days so I  couldn't afford one .....
 Big , old heavy tank  really, ....but I like them  :)

Your xr looks great Steve I like my 82 xr500 as well, have you ridden a xr600 I find them very top heavy, thanks Michael.

Here's mine, just finished it today full rebuild suspension feels real good
love these old girls and forgot how smooth the power is
hi comp piston, pipe and a 516 grind on the cam

I was very happy my mate gave me this one not a bike I would have went out and bought myself but opinion changed after I rode it.
