1979 works 125

foxy999 yes this is the Tassie bike from Smithton ,please post the photos on this thread regards Iain . Got the eng # RM125-61828 frame # RM125-50681 , JohnnyO tells me these # are 1977 numbers , so need to see some photos .

I looked at the photos from foxy and it's just an RM125B. Can't figure out why the owner thinks he has a works bike??

I was racing and working in a Yamaha Shop during that time in Tassie, if anybody had a works Suzuki, everybody that was racing during that time would have known.. Spooky but Tassie really is a small place......

Iainyz what is your mates name, pretty sure I knew all of the fast Suzuki guys from up north..especially the ones that may have warrented some "go fast" bits..

According to my math’s, the kid would have had to be at least 15 at the time which would make his father at least 35 (maybe younger as we are talking about Tassie ).
So if it’s a 77 model then its been 34 years since the bike was bought which would make the father somewhere around 70 years old and he probably remembers his kid as being way better than he really was.

That was Andrew Turner. Dont think he would not have been riding anything a old as a "Rm B" aged bike. I'm pretty sure he was riding in RLH (restricted licence holder) with a N or a T whe I first noticed him going around.

thats right Slawesy - Andrew - thanks.  And yes he was riding RLH at the 81 titles held in Tassie (I hope i have that right?) - where he gave Jeff leisk a bit of a touch up but again no special bikes I know of.
